For outstanding achievement, extraordinary conduct, dedication and for being selected the Ranger of the Quarter in the 2nd Ranger Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment, Private Second Class PV2 W. Geist is hereby awarded the Soldier's Medal.

Private Second Class PV2 W. Geist time and again displayed dedication to the battalion that is unmatched, exceptional and unequaled. Private Second Class PV2 W. Geist not only gave their time, but also volunteered to help the battalion in many ways so that the unit could benefit greater as a result of their service for the quarter.

Private Second Class PV2 W. Geist reflects great credit upon themselves, the 2nd Ranger Battalion and the United States Army.
