  1. Basic Leadership School is an entry level leadership school, allowing people to be promotable to CPL.
  2. Starting at 2000 EST, all personnel who meet the below criteria should report to JBLM to attend. It will have it's own dedicated map used for it and I expect to see you all there. Any and all questions should be forwarded to 1LT A. Smith1. Must have completed BCT & RASP 2. Must have completed CLS 3. Must have completed Land Nav 4. Must have completed Airborne 5. Must have completed Air Assault Regimental Reconnaissance is based out of Fort Benning Georgia, as such all of their trainings will be conducted there. The event will consist of 4 lanes, and the details of the lanes will be provided upon the event occurring.
  3. The Heavy Weapons Qualification equips soldiers with the knowledge to operate high-impact weapons systems found in the Weapons Squad (1-4) including the FGM-148 Javelin, FIM-92F Stinger, M3 MAAWS, and the M240B. This course will cover the basics on how to use the weapons, what ammunition should be used, and how to operate them safely and effectively. Soldiers not currently assigned to or planning on being assigned to a Weapons Squad are still encouraged to take the qualification. Qualification is required for an extended amount of time within a Weapons Squad. There are no previously required qualifications. If you do not already have CLS (Combat Lifesaver Qualification) you will be turned away and instructed to attend CLS instead as these qualifications run at the same time. CLS is more important for average usage.
  4. The Designated Marksman Qualification trains soldiers to be able to take the Squad Designated Marksman role. The Designated Marksman Qualification grants soldiers the ability to carry a Designated Marksman Rifle and use high powered optics.
  5. The Land Navigation Qualification trains soldiers to plot 8 digit grid points, use the baseplate compass and learn the major, minor and supplementary terrain features. The Land Navigation Qualification does not grant any special equipment
  6. The Explosives Qualification trains soldiers to be able to safely employ demolitions, disarm explosives and use breaching charges. The Explosives Qualification grants soldiers the ability to carry explosives, breaching charges and a defusal kit.
  7. Airborne School trains soldiers to be able proficient in static line parachute operations. Airborne resupply, considerations and limitations are also taught. Airborne School finishes with a live fire Field Exercise.
  8. Air Assault School trains soldiers to be proficient in helicopter operations which include both landing and repelling as methods of insertion. Helicopter resupply, considerations and limitations are also taught. Air Assault Finishes with a live fire exercise.
  9. The Land Navigation Qualification trains soldiers to plot 8 digit grid points, use the baseplate compass and learn the major, minor and supplementary terrain features. The Land Navigation Qualification does not grant any special equipment.
  10. Platoon Training is to focus on one or multiple skills needed to work together as a whole.
  11. Combat leadership course is for everyone that would like to learn more leadership skills.
  12. Company level training is to focus on one or more items that need to be worked on as a company wide objective.
  13.   15. The Military Freefall Qualification trains soldiers in both methods of High-altitude military parachuting: HALO (high altitude – low opening) and HAHO (high altitude – high opening). The Military Freefall Qualification grants soldiers the ability to carry an altimeter watch.
  16. Fireteam level training is to build a stronger team, and to build on skills used at the fireteam level.
  17. Company Training is to focus on one or multiple skills needed to work together as a whole.
  18. Basic leadership Course - is for soldiers that are trying to move up and learn to be a leader in the unit.
